TWINS!!!

Y'all thought we were having twins for a second, didn't ya! Well we still haven't found that out yet but I am blogging about another set of twins. Susie and Katelyn!

On Saturday night we went over to our good friends home to celebrate Jim's 30th birthday (that post to come later-I still have to collect a few good "time capsule" pictures for my tribute to my lover :) ). Susie and Katelyn are such good playmates. Susie is always trying to be just like Katelyn. Well this time Katelyn was so thoughtful and dressed up just like Susie. She chose the same pajamas that Susie had on so they would be "twinners". Susie loved it. Thank you Katelyn for being such a wonderful friend to Susie-Boozie and wearing your "HOT" pajamas to bed that night.

poor baby daisy

Earlier this week I opened up our blinds in the master bedroom and looked out into the yard hoping for a warm, sunny morning (the previous two days before had been too cold to go outside) and not only was I greeted by Mr. Sunshine but I was greeted by a very cold and hungry "baby daisy" in Susie's favorite corner of the yard. (If you can see little daisy's hand in this picture it is signaling to us, "Hey guys please save me". Susie must have placed her down the last time (at least two days previous) she was playing in the yard. This doll must think my daughter is "Sid from next door" (toy story).

We are deeply sorry baby daisy and hope that you can forgive us and I hope we eventually find your other baby slipper.

just me and my rubber ducky

Susie loves bathtime! I give her baths in our big garden tub because in the other bathroom the toilet always gets in my way. Anyway, she loves having the tub all to herself along with her bath toys. As you can see from the pictures her favorite part of the bath is trying to "catch the water" from the running faucet. Go figure that she has a bunch of bath toys and her favorite one is the running water that she will never be able to catch. I won't tell her if you don't.

You see...Susie gets her love of running around without her diaper on, free and breezy, not from her mother's side. I love you Jim Darling!

Iced over

About a week or so ago we had our first "ice storm" of the winter. You see, where I grew up there is snow for a good 4 months out of the year on the ground. So you can imagine the surprise that I had when I moved to Texas and for the first time in my life church was canceled because of ice. Ice! I thought to myself, "Texans, you guys don't know what danger is...I do I have lived in a real winter wonderland before. Canceled you have got to be kidding! What I wouldn't have given when I was a kid to have a little "ice" cancel church. It would have given me one more afternoon with my barbie dolls and coloring books. Well people I have to say after my first "ice storm" here in Texas I knew exactly why church had been canceled. Ice storms are horrible. As you can kind of see from the pictures if you park your car outside good luck getting into it unless you are willing to take a chisel and hammer to the WHOLE car. There is a thick, and I mean thick sheet of ice on everything to your car to your blades of grass. Good thing it can be in the 20's one day and then within a few days in the 60-70's. You have to love texas winters.

Some people have their hideout in the bedroom closet, under the bed, underneath the table...

our daughter has chosen underneath our sink in the bathroom. Gross I know, but she will even go in there if all the lights are turned off and it is pitch dark.

Not a baby any longer

Sue took her first steps the other day. Our baby is not a baby any longer. She is so happy and is growing so big and strong. We love our Susie.
